TURCIC, Victor

Passed away on 9 October 2025 in his 82nd year.

Late of Southport, Gold Coast.

Beloved husband and soulmate of Donna Mroz Turcic since 1979 after meeting in Nhulunbuy, Arnhem Land, NT, and marrying in Bali, Indonesia, in 1984.

Victor, son of Slavko and Stefica and affectionately known as Vjeko, Vic, Baco, and Uncle B, leaves behind his brother Tony and family in Adelaide, and Bullsbrook, WA; his late brother Joe's family in Melbourne, and sister Anna and family members in Croatia.

Heartfelt thanks shouted from the rooftops to Victor's wonderful and supportive family members, especially during his courageous struggles with Parkinson's disease, as well as to the brilliant Queensland Ambulance Service crews whose kindness and dedication will forever be remembered, as will those of the extraordinary Pindara Private Hospital staff who got to know Victor during his final months and who made him as comfortable as possible during his final hours, and those too of Estia Health Southport who could not have been more generous in their care of

"Tom Jones Victor".

Long-time friend Stan, and Meri, from Melbourne, remembered with gratitude, as are Anne and Danny of Nambucca Heads, NSW, with warm thanks to others who regularly enquired after Vic including family and friends in Canada; Gold Coasters Peter, Andrea, and Phillipa, Alan, Paula, Noelle, Gloria, Nina, Sue B, Matisse, and Andrew and Chempro staff, Como Street; Sue from Agnes Water; Annegret and Simone from Bargara; Fay and Graham and Hilary and Paul from New Zealand, and the RFS Family, Bundall.

Sincere appreciation must go to the Griffith University School of Anatomy Body Bequest Program for granting Victor's last wish. "If even one person can be helped...."

When it's time Victor's ashes will be scattered in the University's Memorial Garden.

No formal service will take place but remembrances, Vic's way, with a cold beer or a glass of red, are taking place as family and friends gather in memory.
