It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ian Grason, who left us peacefully at home, aged 81.
A man of wit, kindness, quiet strength, and lasting friendships he was a steady presence and guiding hand to all who knew him — well loved by students across Hobart from the 1980s to early 2000s.
True to his nature, he wished for no fuss, and his final moments were spent just as he wanted — in the comfort of his own home.
He leaves behind much-loved family, many friends, and those whose lives he profoundly shaped through his generosity, wisdom, and mentorship.
