The Directors, Staff, Coaches and Players of the Western Bulldogs Football Club mourn the passing of Angus Abbey.

The Club recruited Angus in 1949, and he played 78 games in the Red, White and Blue up to his final season in 1954.

Angus was a key member of the Club’s historic 1954 Premiership team. His dedication and character were recognised with the Best Clubman award in 1954, and he was later honoured as a Life Member of the Club.

We convey our deepest sympathies to Dorothy, Ross, Heather, Louise and the extended Abbey family for their profound loss.
