A State Funeral to honour the life and achievements of the late

Mr Angas Hughes, a World War II Bomber Command veteran and

prisoner of war, will take place at

2.00pm on Friday 14 August 2026

at the Torrens Parade Ground Drill Hall, Adelaide.

If you wish to attend the State Funeral, please register your attendance via https://www.dpc.sa.gov.au/MrAngasHughes.

For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed free via the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and Alfred James websites, as well as the SA Government Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, the family has kindly requested consideration for people and organisations wishing to honour Mr Hughes, to donate to Legacy . Donation envelopes will also be available on the day for those who wish to contribute.
