The Bloods made a good start, producing one of their best opening quarters of the season.
Playing with confidence and purpose, Tocumwal dominated the contest from the opening bounce, moving the ball with speed and precision while applying relentless pressure around the ground.
Their hard work was rewarded with a blistering seven-goal first term that stunned the home crowd and gave the visitors a commanding early advantage.
However, Dookie were never going to lie down. The home side responded strongly in the second quarter, lifting their intensity around the stoppages and beginning to win more of the contested football.
Their resurgence saw them pile on six goals for the term, reducing Tocumwal's lead to just nine points by the main break and setting up an exciting second half.
With the momentum beginning to swing, the Bloods showed great composure after halftime. Every time Dookie threatened to draw level, Tocumwal found an answer through disciplined team football and timely goals.

Brock Close was outstanding in front of goal, producing one of his finest senior performances with five majors and proving a constant danger inside the forward 50. Liam Sutton and Sam Decicco each added two goals, while Brayden Hall, Sam Hatty and Max O'Neil also found the scoreboard.
Nick Egan led the way in an outstanding all-round display and was well-supported by Brayden Hall, Chase Hardwidge, Brock Close, captain Jack Tyndall and Logan White, all of whom made significant contributions throughout the afternoon.
Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of the victory was Tocumwal's ability to withstand Dookie's momentum swings.
After surrendering much of their early advantage in the second quarter, the Bloods remained composed, backed their systems and responded whenever the home side threatened, demonstrating the maturity and resilience that has continued to develop throughout the season.
The victory gives Tocumwal another valuable four premiership points and continues to build confidence within the playing group as they head into the closing rounds of the season.

Despite having everything against them, including playing most of the match with two fewer players on the field and no interchange bench, the boys never gave in. Their effort, resilience and determination to keep competing right to the final siren was something they should all be proud of.
