The Rovers Thirds took on Katunga in near-perfect football conditions in front of a larger-than-usual crowd for Sponsors Day.

The occasion didn’t faze the boys, who burst out of the blocks despite missing two of their top-age players due to work commitments.
Deni made the perfect start, kicking the opening two goals of the match through Haydn Sampson and Dannon Leetham, while a disciplined defensive effort kept Katunga scoreless in the first term.
Thomas Ives and Archer Moodie were outstanding through the middle, while Darcy Finn and Reece King provided their usual reliable presence in defence.
The second quarter was a much tighter contest, with Katunga enjoying more of the football.
The Rovers responded by lifting their tackling pressure and intensity around the contest, restricting the visitors to just one behind. Dannon Leetham's second goal ensured Deni also claimed the quarter.
The Rovers took complete control after half-time, adding 3.3 while again holding Katunga to a solitary behind.
Sharing the ball well and making the most of their opportunities, goals came from Lincoln Meharry, Archer Moodie and Ryan Squires.
The final term was an even affair, with both sides kicking two goals, but Deni edged the quarter by two points.
Dannon Leetham and Ryan Squires each added another major as the Rovers completed another strong four-quarter team performance.
The Fourths players who stepped up once again played their role and made valuable contributions to the side.

Fourths
The fourths made a flying start against Katunga, piling on 9.4 to nil in the opening quarter.
Michael Benger, Cormick Hardman and Callan Leiper caused plenty of headaches up forward, while Taj McCully, Ged O’Donnell and Carter Sartore dominated through the midfield.
The Rovers continued their control into the second term, taking a 17.6 to nil lead into half-time.
Despite some inaccuracy after the break, the boys continued to attack and kept the pressure on, with their second-half kicking preventing the margin from blowing out even further.
Harry Rennie put together a strong performance on the wing, while youngster Nixon Sartore had a memorable debut in the fourths, kicking a goal to the delight of his teammates.
