The Tigers had made a habit of keeping things close with some of the league’s leading sides throughout the season, but Euroa proved to have too much offensive firepower, slicing through the visitor at Euroa Memorial Oval 81-49.
The Magpies jumped into the lead quickly, but Rochester was able to keep that advantage to two for most of the first quarter.
A late burst put Euroa up seven at the first break and the league-leader would push on from there, making consistent runs to lead by 14 at the half.
Rochester’s offence was functioning well, but the Magpies’ attack had a machine-like efficiency.
In fact, despite scoring 49 times, the Tigers never once scored consecutive goals due to a clinical opposition attack that barely missed out on an offensive possession.
Euroa continued to extend the lead in the second half, resulting in the comfortable final scoreboard.
Bec Colwell has been a significant boon in attack for the Magpies this season and scored a massive 60 of her side's 81 goals, well-supported by star regular Mia Sudomirski.
Tia Webb led Rochy’s effort with 34 scores, while Morgan Dingwall sunk 15 shots.
Despite competitive performances Rochester is winless in its past five games, hoping to turn around its fortunes against Shepparton Swans at Rochester Recreation Reserve this weekend.
