Matilda McIntyre lines up the shot.
After a dominant 29-goal performance to cap a starring 2025 season, Colbo didn’t have things as much their own way at the weekend at Toolleen Recreation Reserve.
The Mounts pushed the premier further than it had been throughout last season and showed flashes of pulling off the upset, but in the end Colbinabbin held its nerve and walked away with a 68-56 win.

Heathcote v Lockington-Bamawm United
The Cats were on the road at Barrack Reserve and almost did enough to secure their first win of the season.
Lockington got the early jump and took a five-goal lead into the first break, but Heathcote edged a head by one at half-time.
The Saints inched further clear to lead by three at the final change and maintained that advantage through the final term to win 46-43.
The Cats are now winless through four fixtures, ahead of only Elmore by goal differential, while Heathcote advances to seventh with the victory.

Leitchville-Gunbower v Huntly
The most thrilling contest of the round was out at Gunbower Recreation Reserve, the Bombers and Hawks battling to a standstill.
Leitchville snagged a few quick goals to start the contest, but Huntly quickly restored parity, setting the trend for a back and forth showdown.
At the final siren, neither side could break free, the scores finishing level, 49-all.
The Bombers sit sixth, with one of each result, including a bye, through four rounds, while Huntly is 1-1-2 in fifth spot.
This weekend's fixtures look to be clear-cut for the local sides, as leader Colbinabbin hosts lower table Heathcote and Mountt Pleasant visits Elmore.
Leitchville-Gunbower is set for a challenge at Lockington, while White Hills and North Bendigo engage in a top four clash and Huntly has the bye.
