The clinic will be run by Hocking and fellow Strikers star Elle Nexhip, focusing on specialist skills, game awareness, shooting techniques, leadership and the habits required for those aspiring to play at an elite level.
The duo comes with plenty of experience to offer younger athletes.
Nexhip is also the coach of Seymour’s A-grade side in the Goulburn Valley League, while Hocking, although a youngster herself, is currently a training partner for the Melbourne Mavericks in Super Netball and a Victoria under-19 player.
“Opportunities like this allow young athletes to learn directly from players who are competing at the highest levels of Victorian netball,” Bendigo Strikers president Melinda Keighran said.
“Elle and Teal bring different experiences and strengths, but both have a tremendous passion for helping young athletes develop their skills and confidence.
“Participants won’t just learn technical skills. They’ll gain an understanding of the preparation, commitment and mindset required to achieve their netball goals.”
The clinic will run from 11am to 12.30pm, with the number of participants allowed to attend strictly limited to 40.
The Strikers are encouraging athletes to register early, with a $60 fee also required to secure your spot.
Included in the entry fee is a ticket to the Strikers’ VNL fixture against Casey Demons on Sunday, July 12, at Mercy Junortoun Sports Precinct.
