And time is running out to nominate the town in the Top Small Tourism Town category.
The awards showcase the value tourism brings to towns across Victoria, celebrating diverse and outstanding regional communities.
This year, Rochester faces competition from Alexandra, Camperdown, Cape Woolamai, Port Fairy, Portarlington, Rutherglen and Warburton.
Echuca has been named a finalist in the Top Tourism Town over 5000 population category, coming up against Ballarat, Bendigo, Mildura, Ocean Grove and Swan Hill.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell urged everyone to get behind their towns and participate in the public vote, which plays a large role in determining the final results.
“Every vote counts, so I encourage everyone to support Echuca and Rochester and help us bring home a top result.”
The Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, August 12 at the Morwell Convention and Reception Centre.
Voting will close on Friday, June 26 at 5pm.
Every voter will be automatically entered into a draw to win an exclusive Melbourne getaway package for two, featuring premium accommodation and experiences.
