Mount Pleasant vs Lockington-Bamawm United
Mount Pleasant notched a seventh straight win in the competition after posting a mammoth 60-goal victory over Lockington-Bamawm United at Toolleen Recreation Reserve.
The Mounts posted their highest score of the season to run out 94-34 winners.
It was also the second time Mount Pleasant has defeated LBU this season, after Anthea McCleary’s side won by 36 goals back in round three.
The Mounts are still just behind Colbinabbin on the ladder, sitting second, while a third straight loss for the Cats has their season hanging by a thread, currently second-bottom and 10 points adrift of the finals places.
North Bendigo vs Elmore
Elmore breathed life back into its season with a nail-biting one-goal win over North Bendigo.
Elmore snapped a three-game losing streak by notching a one-goal victory over North Bendigo in one of the season’s tightest encounters.
The Bloods made a solid start on their trip to the finals contender, taking an 11-8 lead into the first interval.
Another 11-goal period in the second provided a minor boost to Elmore’s advantage at half-time, as Adam Boldiston’s side led 22-17 at the main break.
The Bulldogs bit back with their best stint of the match in the third quarter, outscoring the Bloods 12-6 to suddenly hold a one-goal lead heading into the fourth.
Elmore is no stranger to close affairs, having had three previous matches this season decided by less than 10 goals, and the visitor rallied just enough in the final quarter to come away victorious.
The Bloods edged the fourth 9-7, overturning the 29-28 scoreline at the end of the third to win 37-36.
The fourth-quarter comeback could be a spark to ignite Elmore’s season.
It now sits sixth and only six points behind Huntly, which holds the last finals spot in fifth, although the Bloods have played one less game than the Hawks.
White Hills vs Colbinabbin
Colbinabbin showed no signs of slowing down in its pursuit of the minor premiership by thrashing White Hills.
Colbinabbin continued its dominant 2026 with a routine 44-goal win over White Hills at White Hills Recreation Reserve.
The Grasshoppers prevailed 80-36 against the third-placed Demons, demonstrating the sizeable gap that still exists between the reigning premier and the rest of the competition.
Such has been the ease of Colbo’s wins that it has now scored 80 or more goals in five of its 11 matches this season.
Jen McIntyre’s team still has a perfect 11-0 record, leading all comers a game clear of second-placed Mount Pleasant.
Elsewhere, Huntly defeated bottom-placed Heathcote by 20 goals, the Hawks producing a dominant 31-14 second half to run out 56-36 winners.
This weekend’s slate is headlined by a top-of-the-table clash between Colbinabbin and Mount Pleasant, with a win for the Hoppers putting them in pole position to take out the minor premiership.
Meanwhile, Elmore’s task of notching consecutive wins will be challenged by finals contender White Hills, while LBU has a prime opportunity to bounce back from its heavy loss when it faces Heathcote.
Round 13’s other game will see Huntly host Leitchville-Gunbower, while North Bendigo has the bye.
