We had 21 bowlers brave the elements last Tuesday.
Winners were Kevin Razz Porter, Kevin Bowler and Jenny Lawrence, with runners-up Ken Mollison, Jason Nicholls and Lynne Bowler.
Open Jackpot Saturday Pairs 25th July
With rain again, 21 players participated in the open event.
The Jackpot, drawn on Saturday, was $188.
The lucky winners, drawing card 13, were Wayne Schultz and Kevin Bowler.
Chair of Match Jenny Lawrence commented that card 13 has been drawn the last three weekends.
Both bowls days welcomed visiting bowlers.
Our Tuesday and Saturday competitions are open events; Tuesday Social commences at 11am and Saturday at 1pm.
Men's Federation Triples Tournament is accepting entries with the tournament to be played over the weekend of September 12 and 13.
Club Corowa are sponsors of this tournament, and Tournament Secretary is Chris Cooney.
Ovens and Murray District Events
Club Corowa Bowls Club and Rutherglen will be hosting the District Novice Singles in October this year.
The Novice Singles will be played over two weekends, Sunday October 4, and Sunday, October 11.
Members need to check their eligibility and make sure to submit their entry.

It's been great to see members supporting district tournaments over the past weeks.
Several of our members played in the Oaklands Christmas in July Tournament, with the winners and runners-up being from Corowa Civic Bowls.
Travelling members have been playing in tournaments further north in warmer weather conditions.
President Shawn reported that six bowlers will play in the Deniliquin Pairs Tournament on Friday; good bowling gentlemen.
To the members and volunteers who assist and play bowls at Club Corowa Bowls over the winter months, the club thanks you for your continued support and efforts around the club.
Greens manager Ken reports that the top Nixon green is open and running very well, however the bottom Farrell green is currently closed.
Members are following the Commonwealth Games bowls, supporting the Jackaroos and Dawniee Hayman, sister-in-law of member Danny Webb.

Social winners on Sunday with a score of 17 and 17 (34) were Doreen Pleming, Kerry Whalley, and Merylyn Milthorpe, with runners-up on 16 and 15 (31) the team of Glenda Willett, Marie Leary, and Graham Withers.
Tuesday winners 0n 16 and 19 (35) were Georgie Agnew, Helen Palmer, and Kerry Whalley, and runners-up on 16 and 16 (32) were Margaret Watson, Angela Clapton, and Peter Manning.
Thursday’s winners on 16 and 17 (33) were Merylyn Milthorpe, Peter Manning, and Helen Palmer, with runners-up on 15 and 17 (32) being Glenda Willett, Margaret Watson, and Georgie Agnew.
