After a second straight loss, Rochester will need to rely on other results if it is to force its way back in to the competition's top four with just two games remaining.
On Saturday, Echuca proved to be too good for the reigning premiers coming out on top by three wickets.
Echuca's decision to bowl first after winning the toss proved to be the right one, with Rochy losing their first three wickets for just 15 runs.
Tim Bubb (0), Waugh George (3) and Sean Williams (4) were all dismissed for under five to leave their side in big trouble.
Although, Charlie Ryan (39) and Dylan Cuttriss (25) provided some middle order resistance to help their side reach 126, before the entire side was dismissed.
Colby Wade (18) was the only other Rochester batsman to reach double figures on the day.
‘‘It’s certainly a disappointing result,’’ captain Sean Williams said.
‘‘We struggled to build a strong partnership and it ended up letting us down. I’m confident we can bounce back into the next two games though.
‘‘But we’ve also got to hope some results go our way.’’
In response, Echuca never appeared to be in any serious trouble as they reached 7/127 in 37.1 overs.
Williams was the pick of the bowlers for Rochy having taken 3/16 from his nine overs, while Angus Martin picked up three wickets of his own.
Rochy's season will conclude with a two-day fixture against Bamawm-Lockington United before taking on Echuca South on the final day of the season.
During the weekend's other matches, Kyabram Fire Brigade stormed to a massive victory over Echuca South.
Their win was set up thanks to twin centuries from Jesse Barker and Kaine Herbert.
Moama underlined their status as the team to beat right now with a convincing 115-run victory over Tongala.
And Cooma kept their position in the top four following a seven-run win over BLU.
