ROCHESTER young guns Jude Ryan and Nate Rasmussen have played a strong role in helping Goulburn Murray Cricket's under 14 side reach the grand final at junior country week.
Despite going down by nine wickets against Cricket Shepparton, Rasmussen produced a patient innings at the top of the order with 16 runs from 58 balls as wickets tumbled around him.
While Ryan's best performance came in the opening game of the tournament against the Murray Valley Cricket Association where he scored 16 runs in the lower order.
In the under 16s, Sam Ryan and Waugh George could do little as their side finished the competition without a win to their name.
George's best performance come against the Murray Valley side, where he scored 44 runs while taking 3-36 from nine overs as Ryan took 1-13 in the same game.
Matt Harrington and Oliver Williams both performed strongly for the under 13A side, despite the team finishing without a win.
Harrington's 2-26 against Cricket Shepparton was his best performance, while Williams proved to be a nuisance in the field.
In the under 13B side, Harrison Keating and Jordy Rasmussen were selected as Rochy's representatives as they finished the competition with one win.
Keating was dominant against the Murray Valley side, scoring 30 runs at the top of the order as Rasmussen top scored against Cricket Shepparton 2 with 38 runs.
