Moses will not play a game before Daley names his squad for Origin II after he was left off the Parramatta's team list for their King's Birthday clash with Canterbury on Monday.
Eels playmaker Moses was cruelly ruled out of the NSW's 22-20 win over Queensland in Sydney with a minor hamstring strain he picked up at the Blues' penultimate training session.
Daley values Moses' long kicking game and has said - if fit - the Parramatta captain would be in his squad for game two in Melbourne on June 17.
But whether Daley takes that risk on Moses, who was replaced by Canberra wonderkid Ethan Strange, without a lead-in game remains to be seen.
Moses' absence is offset by the return of several of Daley's star names with Tolu Koula, who received NRL clearance to play after his Origin I concussion, and Haumole Olakau'atu back in the fold for Manly's meeting with South Sydney on Thursday.
Souths welcome back David Fifita, hooker Brandon Smith and centre Campbell Graham.
