Community Bank Rochester recently opened its doors to host its inaugural First Home Buyer's Seminar, helping residents navigate the property market.

A panel of local experts in real estate, banking and law came together on Wednesday, March 25 to provide valuable insight into the housing market and answer questions from attendees.
Lauren Ross said the event aimed to remove confusion around the home-buying process to make it more accessible for first-time buyers.
“To provide a free opportunity for our local first home buyers to learn more about the home buying process,” she said.
“We’re conscious that buying a first home can be confusing, intimidating and involves enlisting professionals that many haven’t dealt with before – so the seminar aimed to address all of this.”
Community Bank panellists included senior branch manager James Pietromonaco, assistant branch manager Clay Anstee and customer relationship manager Morghan Hughes.
They were joined by Stu Wilson from Ray White Rochester, Luke Ryan from Luke Ryan Real Estate, Natalie Peixoto from Olivia Hume Property Group and Trish Grogan from Dawes and Vary Riordan Lawyers.
The event saw panellists from different industries come together.
The evening began with a presentation from the panel, followed by a step-by-step breakdown of the home-buying process.
Guests were encouraged to ask questions during the session and speak one-on-one with experts afterwards.
Despite the rising cost-of-living, Ms Ross said that there was still interest in buying homes and that “the market is really strong.”
Attendees showed interest in a wide range of topics, including buying versus building, government assistance programs, home lending and general market trends.
Following the success of the inaugural event, Community Bank Rochester is planning to host similar free seminars in the future, potentially covering topics such as property investment and succession planning.
The bank is open to any community feedback or suggestions for future seminar topics.
