Early last week, the Bombers announced they did not have the numbers to field an A-grade team for round one, but last minute talks with the league saw Kyabram get a side on the court to give Rochester a game at Kyabram Recreation Reserve.

The good news ended there for Ky, as the match that resulted was a one-sided affair, Rochy clinical in its first hit-out of the season, 87-22.
The Tigers allowed only three goals in the opening period, running up 24 to set the tone for the afternoon, and the lead would surpass 40 by half-time.

Debuting coach Kristy Roulston had an opportunity to test her best combinations in the second half as her side cruised to the big one.

Next up, the Tigers will hold their home opener against Mansfield, a side that finished 10th in in 2025, as Rochy looks to start 2-0, questing for its first finals berth in more than two decades.
