Rochester and Mathoura are now the only two winless teams in the Campaspe Playing Area division one weekend pennant after round three.

Rochester was beaten at home by a spirited Kyabram outfit 4-50 to 12-59, with both sides still knocking on the door of the top four.
While both Richard Feuk and Tim Quinlan got wins for Rochester over Robert George and Paul McInnes, it was Kyabram’s Greg Shilling who lifted his side to victory, putting Leslie Walles to the sword 26-10.

Lower grades
Division three saw a full slate of action across the region, headlined by Echuca scoring a big win over Lockington 14-70 to 2-61.
Lockington’s Steve Pavone was the lone skip for his club to get a win, dominating Echuca’s Anthony Deenen 23-11.

While Echuca’s Greg Clymo scored a tight victory over Leanne McInnes 26-23, it was Maxwell Bennett’s brilliant 33-15 triumph over Lockington’s John Fisher that won Echuca the day.
Elsewhere, Elmore couldn’t quite crack a travelling Rich River side, losing 2-45 to 14-62.

Elmore’s rink three skip Kenneth Wills got the better of Rich River’s Darryl Wood 28-16 before Ronald Bentley and Barry Cox brought the visitor home over Gary Williams and Raymond Williams 25-6 and 21-11, respectively.
Rochester couldn’t defend home soil, being downed by Kyabram at Rochester Bowls Club 0-44 to 16-62.

It was a straight sets victory for Kyabram, with skips John Hausler, Darryl Gade and Graeme King all leading their sides to victory.
There was plenty of action in division four as Echuca decimated Lockington 16-77 to 0-49.

Echuca skips Paul Leach, Malcolm Thorn and Leslie Whyte had little trouble against Lockington’s Cindy Felmingham, Kalvan Stout and Shane Felmingham.
At Kyabram Bowls Club, the host trumped Rochester 14-62 to 2-59.
Liam McInnes added youthful exuberance to his team.
Rochester’s Don Gillies provided resilience against Kyabram’s Ray Harrison 33-13, before Kyabram’s Geoffrey Coad and Ted Hazelman ran over the top of Wesley Bertuch and David Marshall 21-13 and 28-13, respectively.
Lastly, in division five, Deniliquin White took down Lockington 13-43.

Deni White skip Wayne Bradley and Lockington’s Rodney Fiedler couldn’t be split in rink one 20-20 before Deni White’s Lee Pattinson got a tight scalp over Denise Gilmore 23-21.
Rochester managed to defend home turf, beating a travelling Kyabram contingent 12-49 to 2-29.
The two rinks were split, with Kyabram’s Jill Barrett taking down Joan Limbrick 22-21 before Rochy’s Lynette Moon sealed the victory with a heavy win over Murray Tenace 28-7.
