Elmore 2, Colbo 2 and Rochy 3 and 4 are the only four sides with perfect records — Rochy 3 standing out with a +28 games difference.
And it has only dropped one set.
Archie Watson has been key to the team slicing up opponents.
He’s won all doubles matches he’s played and with relative ease — 6-1, 6-2, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3, 6-5.
Rochy 3’s quality will be tested against clubmates from 4 in round three, Saturday’s most intriguing clash.
Elsewhere, fellow pacesetters Elmore 2 and Colbo 2 take on Echuca 12 and 14, respectively — both favoured against opponents sitting mid-table.
Both Rochy sides in Division A have began with 1-1 records.
Rochy 1 had quite the improvement from round 1.
It overturned a 7-1 loss on rubbers to Echuca 9 by beating Echuca 11 by the same scoreline.
Echuca 11 has opened with consecutive Rochy defeats — Rochy 2 comfortably beating it 6-2 in round 1.
But Rochy then lost to Echuca 8 5-3 (if you hadn’t noticed, Division A is all Echuca outside the Rochy duo).
And in Division C, Rochy 8 is the only local side serving up a perfect record — Colbo 4 and Elmore 3 the others to have won through two rounds.
