Rochy was on its home turf Rochester Bowls Club, but the familiar surrounds couldn't inspire the host to victory in any of the three rinks, its best result coming in a drawn rink.
The contest in question was between Rochester’s Don Gillies and Kyabram’s Mary-Anne Spizer, both outfits tallying 20 shots.
The Bombers had the best of the other two rinks, Mary Greco prevailing 20-16 over Kevin Hall, while Joe Greco logged the largest victory, 30-11 over Kaye Barker.
The final scorecard read Kyabram 15-70 to Rochester 1-47.
Moama leads by eight competition points over Echuca, with Kyabram more than a game further back in third.
Stanhope now has a more-than-20-point lead over fifth-ranked Deniliquin, with Mathoura narrowly behind.
Around 40 points adrift from the finals places, it would take a marked change in fortunes for either Rich River or Rochester to feature in the post-season.
Next week, in the last round before the Christmas break, Moama and Stanhope will face off in a top-four clash, while Echuca will host Deniliquin and Kyabram will travel to Mathoura.
Bottom two Rich River and Rochester will battle at Rochester Bowls Club.
Lower Divisions
In division two, Deniliquin RSL dominated Rochester, 16-77 to 0-42.
There wasn’t much to celebrate for Rochy in the fixture, the closest rinks both with six shot margins.
In division three, all five matches were two rinks to none sweeps.
Moama ran up the biggest score, crushing Elmore 14-79 to 0-18, while Echuca also had a big win, 14-54 to 0-24 over Rochester.
Division four was similarly lopsided, the winning team taking both rinks in all four fixtures, with Lockington defeating Echuca 14-48 to 0-37.
