Cold, wet and muddy—proper footy conditions greeted the Under 12 girls on Friday night in Bendigo.
Rochester showed their grit and determination, shutting down White Hills until the third quarter and sealing a solid win.
The team embraced Coach Riordan’s message, "support each other and have fun"—that’s what sport is all about.
Meila Dickinson proved she’s a rising star, making a contest of every ball and taking strong marks—clearly following in her brother’s footsteps.
Abbie Griffiths is growing in skill and confidence, standing her ground and getting her hands dirty when it matters.
Ava Rasmussen was throwing her body on the line and tackling hard—that’s the kind of fearless footy that lifts a team.
She’s proving she’s not to be messed with.
While Willow Brooks, is growing stronger and more confident with each game, she's clearly making her mark.
It’s awesome to see players building their skills and backing themselves in.
And despite the setback with Macey Macfarlane’s injury, the team showed resilience and kept pushing forward.
It’s great to see players stepping up and embracing the challenge of playing in wet and muddy conditions—it’s not just about individual performances but the entire squad working together, backing each other up, and keeping their spirits high.
Well done to the team for pushing through and bringing home another victory.

An early start on Sunday morning had the Under-15 girls playing in cold and drizzly conditions at Toolleen.
Although the girls played well to the conditions, knocks and injuries meant the team weren’t able to fire on all cylinders.
However, this did open up opportunities for a number of Tigers to step up and take the game on.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough, and Mounts took the home ground win.
Rochester 2.4 (16) lost to Mt Pleasant 6.5 (41)

It was a cold and rainy winters day for Rochester to take on Sandhurst in Bendigo.
With a few changes to the team for the inter-league game on Monday and some of the players in new positions, Rochester started the quarter slowly, with Sandhurst scoring the first goals of the game.
After starting slowly, Rochester was able to end the quarter five points down.
Sandhurst continued to attack the ball and win a lot of the play and was out to a 30-point lead, before Rochester started to lift in their new positions and ended the second quarter only 17 points down.
In the third, Rochester started to run the ball and contest more often, which was making a difference on the scoreboard.
Rochester went into the fourth quarter leading by 5 points.
As the rain settled in for the fourth quarter, Rochester continued to attack and contest the ball and came away with the win.
