Rochester grinds out win ahead of top-of-the-table clash

In a match defined by momentum swings and tight margins, Rochester did enough across four quarters to keep its nose in front.

From there, the Tigers added 1.4 to Seymour’s 0.1, the arm wrestle of a quarter that saw the second seeded side fall over the line.

The result pushes Rochester to a 9-1 record and sets up a massive clash at Moon Oval this weekend against league-leader Kyabram.

With both teams in strong form, the round 11 meeting shapes as a potential grand final preview.

For Seymour, the loss leaves it at 5-5, still in sixth position, but with the chasing pack closing in.

The Lions will look to bounce back this weekend against the 9-1 Echuca machine.
