Midweek and weekend pennant was abandoned due to heat, along with the 60 and over competition which was cancelled.
Members of the club were asked not to compete in the current events running at the club.
All events will have extended ‘play by’ dates to allow competitors to play their games within a reasonable time frame.
The ladies drawn pairs event has been drawn and is on display.
Our Club Champions competed in the Champion of Champions event in Stanhope on the Sunday, February 1.
Rob Clayton had a bye in the first round and then faced David Vallance from Mathoura.
Both bowlers showcased some fantastic draw bowling, with Rob coming out as the eventual winner.
Jane McCallum fought hard to beat Jenny Crilly from Stanhope in the first round.
In the quarter-final, Jane came up against a very strong bowler, Mary Greco from Kyabram.
Going into the last end, Jane had a narrow lead.
Mary was holding two shots to be up but Jane’s determination shone through, and she got the winning shot with her last bowl.
Well done to both Jane and Rob, who now both advance to the semi-finals.
