COACHES CORNER / JON VARCOE
What’s the biggest focus for your group in 2026?
It's a team first focus and we're just really looking to teach our players the roles in it and get it well ingrained in the playing group.
What will supporters notice about this team?
We'll be well organized and structured. We'll be fit and we'll be a pressure team.
What’s your side’s greatest strength?
Everyone that takes the field for Bakula will be, fit play their role and be part of a tight net team.
What still needs the most work?
At the moment it's just a continuation of improving our fitness and getting our players to know the game plan and their roles really well before round one.
What does success look like for this group in 2026?
We've been a mid-table team for a period of time so our aim is to push higher up the ladder.
If we can have a successful and fun year, retain all our players and continue to build, that will be a success.
