Twenty-two bowlers gathered to play three games at RSL Ladies Carpet Bowls on Thursday.

With three mats in play the teams were a mix of triples and rinks. Interestingly the two triples teams both had three wins.
Gloria Griffiths (s), Mary Stevens and Gillian Denny won the day with a total of 33 shots, from runners-up Lyn Short (s), Jo Chick and Marilyn Farrell with 30 shots.
The encouragement award was given to Lynda Jacob, Pat Hunt, Anne Rayner and Joy Mann.
Eight resting touchers were awarded and the lucky door prize went to Gloria Griffiths.
New and experienced bowlers alike are welcome to come along every Thursday and join in the fun of social carpet bowls.
Names are to be in by noon, upstairs at the RSL, in time for a 12.30pm start. The cost is just $3 and includes afternoon tea and coffee.
