Moama, Elmore and Echuca have established themselves as the leading contenders, all 6-4 in an even competition.
Echuca joined Moama in a share of the lead after taking down the Mowers by five wickets.
The other leader, Elmore had a relatively comfortable time out against Stanhope, picking up the win by 64 runs after setting a first innings target of 5-177.
James Harney (47) anchored the early part of the innings, while a late partnership of co-captains Luke Price (39 not out) and Tyler Oliver (38 not out) put the finishing touches on a strong total.
Stanhope was dismissed for 113, Harney (3-12) and Shivam Goel (3-25) the leading bowling duo for the Redbacks.
Strong bowling put Bamawm-Lockington United over the top against Rushworth.
The Tigers were restricted to 123 as Charlie Mundie (4-32) and Charlie McIntyre (3-6) kept the opposition off balance throughout.
Despite the efforts of Rushworth’s Shannon Jarrett (4-25), BLU put together a composed batting effort, six players reaching double figures as the Lions got home by four wickets.
Colbinabbin was rolled by Cooma for 81 runs, the chase then completed in less than 12 overs.
Kane Moroney’s 31 was the only standout batting effort for the Ducks, while Jack Norris (3-26) and Joel Stephens (3-2 from 5 overs) tore the opposition apart.
Cooma didn’t lose a wicket in the run chase, Liam Scopelliti notching a quick 51 not out to secure the points.
Bill Williams Murray B-grade shield
Rochester batted well to easily run down Tongala’s 92 run total.
Tonny looked like it may fall for even less, but was saved late by Travis Johnstone (41 not out).
However, Rochy was able to make easy work of the chase, losing only one wicket as Brian Dwyer (40 not out) and Matthew Harrington (39 not out) took their side home.
Gus Underwood C-grade shield
BLU had no trouble chasing down Echuca South after bowling the Swans out for 70.
Jai Bailey took 3-8 at the head of the Lions’ bowling attack, while Nathan Neville scored 39 not out, doing the majority of the work in the chase.
Rochester had the bye.
Peter Raglus D-grade shield
BLU had enough in reserve to chase down Colbinabbin’s 115.
A trio of Lions took three wickets, Nick Simpson (3-6), Nigel Riordan (3-13) and Emma Beal (3-30) starring before Col Pearse (30), Nigel Riordan (29) and Julian Pearse (28 not out) stood up with the bat.
