Cobram: Adam Champagne, Bailey Roberts, Alec Ritchie, Jackson Trengove, Tyron Baden, Luca Allen.
A tight contested first quarter set the tone for the match as neither team could break through the opposition defense.
Harry and Kyal were brilliant in the back half as Cobram used their run through the middle of the ground but couldn't capitalize on the scoreboard.
The second quarter saw Mulwala make the most of their opportunities as Owen took control of the ruck contests, enabling the run and carry from Oscar and Charley to hit the Mulwala forwards up with some beautiful passages of play.
Beau Seymour was the main beneficiary as Mulwala kicked six goals to two to take a handy lead into half time.
Tom Dow used all of his guile in the forward half to set up goals to young Baxter Donovan and Will Robinson in the third quarter as the game turned into more of an arm wrestle between the arcs.
This suited the likes of Oscar and Zach Scott whose tackling pressure was immense throughout the second half to ensure that Mulwala held on to a very deserving victory in front of a huge crowd at Lonsdale Reserve.
The win will all but secure Mulwala third spot on the ladder as they head toward September with a renewed sense of belief.

Reserves
Mulwala 6.4.40 def by Cobram 22.8.140.
The Reserves, whilst undermanned, put up a great early fight thanks mainly to the skilful boot of Joey Bland who kicked two beautiful first quarter goals to keep Mulwala in the fight.
Jaxen Wheeler was hard as nails off the backline and along with Isaac Pitches and Luke Resuggan were keeping Mulwala in the game.
Cobram's run in the second half got the better of Mulwala as they moved it up a notch and Mulwala with no bench cover ran out of steam and suffered a heavy loss against a quality two's team.
Another great challenge next week before finals the week after for the reigning premiers Mulwala.
Goals: Joseph Bland 2, Luke Resuggan 2, Charlie Drake 1, Austin Frauenfelder 1.

Thirds
Mulwala 6.2.38 def by Cobram 10.15.75.
The Thirds played some great first half football that saw Cobram take only a slender lead into half time.
Mainly to the strong efforts of Tige and Miller Sanderson who were playing some great footy.
The pair of Sonny's, Sneddon and O'Bryan were brilliant in the forward half of the ground contesting a lot of football and Axel was his usual busy self around the fall of the ball, crumbing some nice goals.
Maiko and Tige continued to work hard all game but Cobram proved too strong on the day.
Goals: Sonny O’Bryan 2, Axel Saunders 2, Zac Wheeler 2.
Best: Tige Sanderson, Miller Sanderson, Axel Saunders, Maiko Leith, sonny o'bryan, Sonny Sneddon.

Fourths
Mulwala 1.6.12 def by Cobram 11.5.71.
A huge game awaited the young Lions and the boys turned up ready to go.
The first quarter was a tighter tussle with Cobram gaining some momentum kicking three goals while keeping Mulwala scoreless.
The second quarter was some of the best football for the year which unfortunately didn't eventuate on the scoreboard.
The young Lions had 90% of the play but loose checking in the backline allowed Cobram the only goal of the quarter.
The second half was played more on Cobram’s terms, who started to gain some control of the game and scoreboard.
A tough loss at home, but a road trip to Tongala for the final round should see a strong finish to the year.
Goals: Taj Parker 1.
Best: Tyce Woodhead, Taj Parker, Levi Purtle, Lachlan Brown, Ben Ferguson, Ryder Leith.
Awards: Ricky D's - Tyce Woodhead, Charlees Chicken - Lachy Brown, Beechworth Armour Inn Defensive Award - Ben Ferguson, Hustl - Ryder Leith and Crusty Loaf - Taj Parker.
