While there were a few clubs to miss out on the finals completely, it was a good showing from the league’s wider community, with droves of fans getting among the spirit across the day.
It was dominance from Lockington-Bamawm United early in the day, with the Cats claiming the 13-and-under and 15-and-under flags in their only two appearances of the day against Colbinabbin and White Hills, respectively.

In the football, it was almost a perfect day for North Bendigo, which picked up the under-18 flag over White Hills and the reserves flag against Mt Pleasant in a thriller.
Perhaps the biggest winner of the day were the Mounts, who may have lost all the other grand finals they featured in, but got the big one – escaping a spirited Bulldogs side to claim the senior premiership after an adversity-laden season.
