It was a really good win overall, although Finley’s consistent pressure ensured we had to work hard for every passage of play.
Emma Parks was outstanding in defence, seeing the ball like a watermelon and swooping in at every opportunity to create intercepts.
Elle Panton, back after a year off, combined brilliantly with Emma, making life extremely difficult for their opponents.
Once again, Chloe Way’s creativity was a joy to watch, adding flair and impact across the court.

B-grade: Deni Rams 54 def Finley 29.
The team set the game up with a cracking first quarter, taking control early and maintaining that intensity throughout.
They ran hard all game, supported by strong midcourt rotations that kept everyone fresh and engaged.
A key strength over the past two weeks has been the team’s ability to adjust seamlessly, and this was evident again.
Hannah McBurnie had a standout game in the goal circle, while it was great to have our captain back leading from the front with strong defensive pressure.
Aysha Mitsch was excellent through the mid-court, linking defence and attack and playing a vital role in the team’s performance.
A shout out to Dakota Mitsch who played her 200th club game.

C-grade: Deni Rams 51 def Finley 31.
The Rams C-grade came out ready for business in their Good Friday game against Finley.
Kayla Hussey was on fire in attack, converting in front of goals with ease and combining beautifully with Addi Hussey.
Jade Hussey and Madi Leetham worked tirelessly in defence, pulling in plenty of rebounds.
Transition through the mid-court was effective thanks to the hard work of Georgie McCalman, Macy Butcher, Abbey Doncon and Peta Ussher.
Overall a stellar team effort by the girls, well done.

C-Reserve: Deni Rams 34 def by Finley 67.
C-Reserve went down to a more experienced Finley side, who capitalised on their opportunities to take home the win.
Despite the score it was a strong showing from Rams, with plenty of good work to build on.
Remy Henderson was composed in GA, creating great leads and holding well in the circle.
The mid-court worked hard through transition, delivering clean, well-timed feeds, with Charlee particularly effective into the circle.
Grace rotated through multiple positions, throughout the game but was a particularly strong presence in centre, providing drive and helping steady the play.

Under-17s: Deni Rams 39 def by Finley 40.
It was a hard fought match for the under-17s Rams coming up against their Good Friday rivals Finley.
The girls started strong, working the ball through the centre court effectively and converting well in goals.
Defensively, we made hard work for the Finley goalers forcing multiple passes to get into the circle which resulted in numerous turnovers.
The Cats were able to stay within reach, however, ending in an arm wrestle for the lead up until the final whistle, with the Cats coming away with a one goal win over the Rams.
A huge congratulations to Phoebe Newman who played her 100th game for the Rams.

Under-15s: Deni Rams 28 def Finley 25.
Deni Rams under-15s secured a thrilling 28 to 25 win over Finley in a tight contest that went down to the wire.
The team showed strong cohesion and a massive improvement from last week, working hard together across the court.
Arielle Hillier was best on, proving unstoppable in defence, while Stella Chadderton was reliable in goal attack with perfect placement.
Killarni MacDonald also had a standout game in GK, anchoring the defence superbly.
Under-13s: Deni Rams 31 def Finley 1.
The girls had an exciting 31 to 1 win over Finley, showing strong teamwork and determination throughout the game.
They worked tirelessly, supporting each other and maintaining great sportsmanship from start to finish.
Stella Butcher was outstanding in goals, shooting with impressive accuracy and confidence.
Charlotte King and Bailee Dunn worked hard through the mid-court, creating plenty of options in attack while also showing their ability to score when needed.
It was a complete team performance with consistent effort across all quarters.
A fantastic result that reflects their hard work and improvement.

The Rams under-11s, captained by Maggie Burge, played a strong and determined game against the Finley Cats.
An injury in the first quarter saw Millie Hall make her debut in centre, she worked tirelessly in both defence and attack, shooting several goals.
Ava Raper fought hard throughout the game and led the team with her experience.
Violet Murray defended exceptionally well, applying constant pressure to the experienced Finley goalers.
Overall, it was a great team effort and an excellent game by all the girls.
