While Rochester had the first bye of the Campaspe Playing Area weekend division one weekend pennant, there was plenty of action in the lower grades, with Lockington and Elmore getting in on the fun.

In division three, Moama took down Elmore at Elmore Bowling Club 14-65 to 2-58, with the Gary Williams-led team the only Elmore side managing to steal a rink, 25-14.
Meanwhile, Moama skips Suzanne Holmes and Russell Kelly emerged victorious in the other rinks, 25-18 and 26-15, respectively.

In a division four showdown at Lockington Bowls Club, Rochester got the better of the host 14-63 to 2-52.
Lockington skip Kalvan Stout was defiant in rink three, taking a dominant 32-17 win, while Rochester skips Don Gillies and David Murray got the job done in the other two rinks.

There was plenty of action in division five with Rochester prevailing over Echuca Blue 14-54 to 0-31 while Lockington suffered a defeat at the hands of Rich River 2-28 to 12-45.
It was a straight sets victory for Rochy, with skips Wesley Bertuch and Lynette Moon posting convincing 29-14 and 25-17 wins.

A dominant 30-10 performance by Rich River’s Barry Kelly in rink one split the difference between the two sides, as Lockington’s Suzanne Harris got a win in rink two 18-15.
Rochester will get its first taste of the new weekend pennant season in division one when it travels to Deniliquin Bowling Club.

In round two of division three, Lockington will host Rich River, Elmore will travel to Stanhope and Rochester will head to Deniliquin.
On Saturday, Rochester will host Ky Valley View and Lockington will venture to Rich River for round two of division four.
