One Deniliquin Bowling Club team has advanced to the Campaspe Playing Area Weekend Division 5 grand final after a thrilling local’ derby on Saturday.
Deniliquin Blue defeated Deniliquin White in the preliminary final at Lockington Bowls Club.
In the all Deniliquin clash, Deni Blue secured the overall win 49 shots to 36, recording one rink victory and one drawn rink to claim the result and book their place in the season decider.
The side showed composure under finals pressure, with steady performances across both rinks proving enough to edge past their clubmates.
The win now sets up a grand final showdown against Moama this Saturday at Moama Bowling Club, where Deni Blue will look to carry their momentum into the final match of the season.
The club also extended a huge thank you to Dyson Group for their continued sponsorship and support.
Dyson’s Bus Company once again provided transport to the finals, a contribution that has been greatly appreciated by players and officials throughout the campaign.
With a grand final berth secured, Deni Blue now turn their focus to Moama, with premiership honours firmly in their sights.
