Now the road through the 2026 season for the club has been revealed, with the release of the Murray Football Netball League fixture in December.
A stand-alone opening round fixture between Echuca United and Deniliquin will start the new season on March 28, but the campaign will begin for most of the league, including Tongala on Good Friday, April 3.
The Blues will welcome Nathalia to Tongala Recreation Reserve in round one, hoping to start the year on the front foot.
With 11 teams in the league this year after the departure of Barooga, a bye has been introduced, each side set to sit out in two rounds each year.
Tongala will take its byes in round 5 (May 2) and round 19 (August 15).
The 11-team format has also brought about the removal of split rounds, a league favourite in recent seasons, with 20 total rounds of action to be contested, concluding on August 22.
A general bye will be held on July 4.
Other notable fixtures for Tongala include a Sunday clash with Moama on April 26 to account for Anzac Day, and the King’s Birthday round on June 6, when the Blues will once again meet Nathalia.
The league’s finals series will begin on August 29 and 30, and champions will be crowned on grand final day, September 19.
