While the scoreboard didn't go our way, this was easily the best game of netball we've seen from the girls this season.
Everyone backed each other, encouraged one another, and played for the team.
The vibe both on and off the court is fantastic, and if we keep building on this, a win won't be far away.
Olive Morton was outstanding in defence, applying relentless pressure all game and making her opponents work hard for every possession.
Captain Steph Barry led by example, with her movement around the circle and accurate shooting standing out throughout the match.
Meagan Lowry once again showed her determination, taking a few heavy knocks but bouncing straight back up and attacking every contest with intensity.

B-grade: Blighty 8 def by Tocumwal 72.
Despite the scoreboard, B-grade fought hard against Tocumwal.
Tess Lloyd had an outstanding game in centre, showcasing her skills throughout the match. She continually chased down loose balls and proved why she deserves her place in the centre position.
Siale Pitson stepped into wing defence and applied immense pressure to the opposition wing attack. She held her player strongly and worked hard to receive passes from her teammates out in front, helping to drive the ball down the court.
With the absence of our usual goal attack, Megan Gull worked tirelessly in the position, creating wonderful passages of play and combining well with Sammy Watson in the goal circle.

C-grade: Blighty 33 def by Tocumwal 51.
The girls started well, matching Toc’s intensity and keeping pace throughout the game.
In attack, Grace Reid, Rach Bucholtz and Emma Brain connected beautifully, working together around the ring and creating some excellent passages of play.
Through the midcourt, Mikayla Collie, Krystle Winter and Ciara D’Aprile worked tirelessly all day, driving the ball through the centre court and providing plenty of opportunities in attack.
In defence, Niccola Stanworth was outstanding, creating numerous turnovers and working hard for her teammates all game.
Suzette Van der Berg was also excellent in defence, applying pressure and helping to keep the opposition accountable.
Our junior players were once again instrumental in helping keep the score within reach. A big thank you to Caitie Michael and Grace Macdonald for stepping up and making such valuable contributions.

C-Reserve: Blighty 24 def by Tocumwal 50.
The C-Reserve girls were a little short this week due to sickness and unavailability, but that didn’t stop them from giving it their all on the home courts.
The first quarter was a fantastic start, with the girls going goal-for-goal and showing plenty of determination and teamwork.
Caitie Michael and Grace Macdonald made a great impact, while Viv Moss was impressive in the goals.
In defence, Carissa Godfrey, Grace Ingram and Juliet Barber were relentless, applying constant pressure to the Toc Bloods girls and never giving up.
Sarah Nihill impressed with both her fitness and her continued improvement, showing how much she is learning about the game each week.
Alena Larmour never stopped all day, rotating through attacking positions and demonstrating just how valuable she is to the team.
Bronte O’Brien worked tirelessly in WD, putting in a strong defensive effort from start to finish.

Our attack was challenged, and we struggled to respond.
Amy Doherty, who is always disciplined, fought hard and pushed herself to reduce excellent defenders and attacking efforts.
Eliza Weir also developed a nice attacking groove, which was working very well for the girls, and we will continue to work on this.

Under-15s: Blighty 25 def by Tocumwal 28.
The match was closely contested from the opening centre pass, with both teams displaying strong defensive pressure and excellent teamwork.
Blighty matched Tocumwal throughout the game, but were unable to retain possession.
The defensive unit worked tirelessly through Lily Petersen, Sophie Pearn and Shelby Huckin to force turnovers, however failed to progress it cleanly through the midcourt.
Lexie Hines, Alexis Bucholtz and Emma Taylor provided strong drive and support to transition the ball into goals, with Ella Charlton, once again, consistently converting goals.
Despite trailing by a small margin in the final quarter, Blighty never gave up and continued to challenge until the final whistle.

Under-13s: Blighty 6 def by Tocumwal 45.
We were fortunate to still have everyone supporting each other, despite having one player sidelined with injury.
Gabbi Dunmore was outstanding in every position she played. She was given a specific job each quarter and executed it perfectly every time.
Georgie Butcher applied amazing pressure in the goal circle all game. It has been fantastic to see her settling into the GK position and backing herself more each week.
Oaklee Morrison was thrown out of position but took the challenge head-on, running hard all game, and creating plenty of opportunities for her teammates.
Pip Holden showed great sportsmanship throughout the game, which is precisely what we love to see from our junior players.

Tia Penrith asked questions if she was unsure and took on feedback, and applied it to her game play, working strongly in both defence and attack.
Jasmin De Silver didn’t give up and chased every loose ball. She took on every opportunity to create a turnover or move the ball down the court.
Keira Lankow was encouraging and used her voice to direct play while bouncing around the court moving the ball forward.
