Barefoot Bowls – Thursday, 22 October
A fun-filled evening was enjoyed by more than 70 players under lights. The front green was filled with members of the local community, including experienced bowlers and novices, all enjoying a social game of bowls.
Music from the 60s and 70s played throughout the night, adding to the atmosphere. The evening began with a 6 pm barbecue, cooked to perfection by volunteers from Yarrawonga Bowls Club.
After the sausage sizzle, the Thursday Barefoot Bowls coordinator announced the teams, and the games got underway. With the occasional wrong bias becoming a common feature of play, laughter and light-hearted banter were enjoyed throughout the evening.
If this sounds like a social evening worth enjoying, everyone is welcome to come along to the club in Belmore Street any Thursday night. There is a sign-up sheet near the main entrance, and names should be entered by 5 pm for a 6 pm start.
