Bowling commences at 11am; names need to be entered by 10am.

Wednesday Bowls Coaching

Bowls coaching with Chris Cooney is available on Wednesday afternoons from 4.30pm until December 23.

Pennant Practice

This Thursday from 4pm; Club Corowa vs Rutherglen practice match at Rutherglen at 5pm under lights, followed by a BBQ; full uniform required.

Barooga Challenge – Saturday, October 3

Bus departs at 9am, with full uniform required for the day; names are required for bus and catering.

Ovens and Murray District Pennant

Weekend Pennant has four teams, commencing Saturday, October 10; Midweek Pennant has three teams, commencing Tuesday, October 13.

Mixed Pairs semi-final 2025-26

The outstanding semi-final round has been played, with Rosemary Baddeley and Shawn McMahon defeating last year’s winners (last four-year winners) Maree Jones and Razz Porter 14/13.

Rosemary and Shawn will play Judy Black and Ken Widdison in the final, with the date to be decided.

Corowa Civic Bowls Club

The annual Gwen Tait day was held on Thursday, September 17.

The gods certainly turned on a beautiful day; the weather was beautiful and the greens were running well.

Winners on the day were Ann Milkins (S), Liz Rees and Jenny Rogers from Numurkah with 3w +19.

Runners up from Myrtleford were Liz Saunders (S), Cheryl Lewis and Janine Powell with 3w +17.

Third place from YMGCR was Ann Miles (S), Laureen Smith and Michelle Thomas 3w +13.

We were lucky enough to welcome teams from North Albury, Commercial Club, Lavington, Chiltern, Yarrawonga, YMGCR, Club Mulwala, Tungamah, Tocumwal, Numurkah, Swanpool, Benalla, Wangaratta, Myrtleford, Rutherglen, Club Corowa and our own Corowa Civic members.

A huge thankyou to all bowls members who helped out on the day providing salads, etc for lunch, and also the bar staff; good job everyone.

And of course, Col and his team, who organised the whole day; it was a job well done.

Social bowls on Saturday, September 19 was a lovely afternoon; the weather was perfect for a game of bowls, with 14 bowler's enjoying our facilities.

A reminder that Pennant training is this Thursday at 4.30pm; all members are encouraged to attend.

There will be a practice match on Sunday, September 27 against Chiltern, with a BBQ at 12 noon and game at 1pm; uniforms required, please.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls

Joe Carnivale enjoyed a win in the Club Championship final with 24/18 over Gloria McCluskey.

Sunday afternoon social winners on 18 and 18 (36) were Joe Carnivale, Gloria McCluskey, Tony Coppolino, and Greg Williamson, with runners-up on 15 and 15 (30) Bev Barron, Merylyn Milthorpe, and Joan Fletcher.

Tuesday’s winners on 17 and 15 (32) were Joe Carnivale, Merylyn Milthorpe, and Glenda Willett and runners-up were Wendy Dunbar, Helen Palmer, Jan Webber, and Peter Manning, with 3 and 16 (19).

Thursday’s winners on 17 and 17(34) were Greg Williamson and Merylyn Milthorpe, with runners-up on 15 and 17 (32) the team of Sylvia Williamson, Graham Withers, and Peter Manning.
