What a battle! It was game on from the first whistle, and a seriously intense contest to watch.
Both sides made some early errors, thanks to the defensive pressure being applied right across the court.
Converting chances wasn’t always easy.
At half time, only a couple of goals separated the teams.
Mulwala made some changes after the break, which helped swing the momentum their way.
We kept fighting hard but appeared to run out of legs in the final quarter.
Emma Parks and Ella Park were a brick wall down back, and caused plenty of headaches for the Mulwala attackers.
Steph Birk has really found form and once again delivered a strong and consistent performance.
Through a few changes in the attack end, Chloe Way remained our steady presence, staying calm under pressure and leading the way.

B-grade: Mulwala 40 def Deni 24
The girls battled hard this week, making Mulwala earn every possession and every goal.
The contest across the court was pretty even all day, but Mulwala’s ability to convert when they had the ball proved the difference.
Mia Parks was an absolute soldier, showing her versatility by stepping up wherever the team needed her most.
Katie Arandt was as strong as an ox in defence, alongside Lucy Pitt, with both defenders making life tough for the Mulwala shooters all game long.
Our most consistent player, Shontai O’Callaghan was at it again too, covering the whole court with a work rate that never drops.

C-grade: Mulwala 55 def Rams 23
Rams C-grade put in a superb team effort on Saturday against the Lions.
The girls played a consistent four quarters of netball, and made Mulwala work hard for the win.
Addi Hussey put in a solid effort in goals, shooting accurately and proving her increasing strength with each game.
Jade Hussey worked tirelessly in defence, and was well supported by the Rams’ other defenders.
Peta Ussher was a force to be reckoned with through the midcourt with her speed and fitness.
Despite the scoreline, a very competitive performance by the Rams.

C-reserves: Mulwala 54 def Rams 27
C-reserve put together a fantastic team performance against Mulwala.
Despite the scoreboard, the energy and effort on court never reflected the margin.
The girls played with great intensity, backing each other up across all areas of the court and showing plenty of skill and determination throughout the game.
The defensive trio of Keely Hussey, Remy Henderson, and Charlee Pitt were outstanding, picking up multiple intercepts, contesting strongly in the air, and working tirelessly to transition the ball out of defence.
Temeka Macdonald had a brilliant game in the shooting circle, finishing accurately under pressure, creating strong leads, and holding space beautifully to provide a consistent option in attack.
It was one of those games where awards were incredibly difficult to decide, with every player bringing their best.

Under-17s: Rams 51 def Mulwala 36
The Rams’s took to the court with intensity on Saturday, stringing together four strong and consistent quarters.
Alice Circuitt again proved solid in defence, combining well with Ava Marshall.
Brydey Maher was effective in her role on the defensive wing, and Bella Hillier, Sienna Elphick and Georgia Henderson worked tirelessly through the midcourt and fed accurately into the goalers.
Phoebe Newman, Zoe Circuitt and Hannah McBurnie combined beautifully in goals, playing with patience to create space.

Under-15s: Mulwala 41 def Rams 11
Deni went down to Mulwala, but there were still plenty of positives to take from the game.
Killarni Macdonald was best on court in defence, using her body well and transitioning the ball strongly from defence to attack.
Arielle Hillier worked hard in attack against a well-oiled defensive unit, delivering quality feeds into the goalies.
Grace O’Connor timed her leads well, and was important in bringing the ball out of defence.

Under-13s: Mulwala 22 def Rams 21
In another nail-biting game, the girls played a fast-paced and highly competitive match.
The team fought tirelessly for four quarters and showed great determination until the final whistle.
Stevie Williams was instrumental defensively through the midcourt, slowing play and getting plenty of hands to ball.
Charlotte King displayed incredible movement in the goal ring, with strong accuracy under pressure.
Stella Butcher proved to be a shooter’s nightmare in defence before stepping up and scoring important goals herself.

Under-11s: Not scored
A great game from the girls, who showed plenty of determination, teamwork and effort right until the final siren.
It’s been awesome to see their confidence and skills continue to grow each week.
