On February 2, the ladies began drawn pairs.
Jeanette and Di defeated Elaine and Wendy.
Heather and June defeated Rhonda and Fay.
Jenny and Yvonne defeated Marg K. and Raylee.
The raffle winner was Carol Cakebread.
Today, Tuesday February 9 the ladies will have social bowls with a 9.30am start.
Club events
The ladies 100-up event is through to the finals with Jane McCallum to play the winner of the semi between Rhonda Hynes and Kathy Williams.
The ladies 21-up draw is up with the first round winners so far being Raylee Willis, Di Milgate, Janis Tamborini and Kathy Williams.
The ladies drawn pairs competition is through to the semi-finals with Jeanette Kneebone and Di Milgate to play Heather Curnick/June Gibbs and in the other match, Jenny Major/Yvonne Smolenaars to play Carol Cakebread/Kathy Williams.
Men's crossover pairs - Thursday, February 4
The winners were Rex Moller and Mick Ellis and second place went to Garry Herne and David Murray.
There will be play again on Thursday, February 11.

Ladies competition - Friday, February 5
With the rain forecast it was almost decided to cancel play, but after only 1mm had fallen by 7am it was agreed to take our chances and what a fine day it turned out to be.
Nights were playing Jupiters and the lead changed many times throughout the match and at the end of the 12th end, the score was 12-all.
The Nights were leading by one on the 17th end and were holding in the head, but Janis Tamburini, skipping for Jupiter, came down with an excellent bowl to score two and win the game 15-14.
The Suns playing the Moons was also a tight match with the score on the 13th end locked at 10-all, but then the Suns took control to win the match 17-13.
The Plutos were playing Venus and the scores were level on the 6th and 12th ends.
Venus skipper, Elaine Hall and Plutos skip Kaye Barker, were making their presence felt changing the end quite often with good bowling.
After the 12th end, Plutos took control of the game with some good draw bowling to win 22–14.
Men's events
We have two big events coming up this weekend.
The men’s 100-up competition is through to the final with R. Clayton to play T. Quinlan at 4pm on Tuesday.
The men’s 21-up event is also through to the final with L. Milgate to play T. Quinlan at 4pm on Friday, February 12.
CVBD Champion of Champions event
On Sunday, February 14 Richard Feuk is playing in the final at Echuca.
Well done Dick and good luck in your second CVBD final in a row.
Barefoot bowls
Play is continuing every Friday night from 4.30pm onwards.
Play concludes late April.
All ages welcome. Bring friends, family and workmates.
Bowls supplied. Tuition available if required.
There is a cost of $5 per person or $10 per family.
The bar is open for refreshments.

Lockington
There was a big weekend of bowls at the club with both pennant divisions at home on Saturday and the huge roll-up for the popular Cunnington Cup 2x4x2 Mixed Pairs on Sunday.
In CVBD weekend pennant both division three and division four recorded victories over their respective opponents Rochester Red and Mathoura.
In the division three victory 66-47, all rinks were successful.
Rink details: Ian Johnson def. A. Gusak 20-16; Ray Hanson def. G. Chambers 21-14; Russell Shawcross def. F. Keech 25-17.
Division four defeated Mathoura 62-39 with two rink wins and a tie.
Rink details: Frank Chugg drew with W. Cowley 13-all; Ken Main def. J Dean 18-13; Kalvin Stout def. J Toomey 31-13.
On the pennant ladder both division three and division four are holding down fourth position.
On Sunday, the club held the popular Cunnington Cup 2x4x2x Mixed Pairs attracted a field of 64 quality bowlers.
There were visitors from Bendigo, City of Echuca, Colbinabbin, Elmore, Mathoura, Moama, Rich River, Rochester, Stanhope and several local members.
The winners were decided on a points system and there were seven three game winners.
There was plenty of excitement when the local pairing of Denise “Happy” Gilmore and Owen “Smiley” McPhee were announced the winners on 80 points plus 30 shots ahead of the Stanhope pair of Jenny Crilly and Barry Fletcher with 80 points plus 23 shots.
Down the line were Pam and Stan Limbrick (Mathoura, 78 points), Lorna Wilson and Greg Chandler (Colbinabbin – Elmore, 78), Annette Brereton and Les Brereton (77), Sandra and Merv Harvey (76), Anne Lowrie and Bill Musgrove (74).
Special competition winners included Ron Jones (Moama), Phillip Cunnington and Annette Brereton.
Both Gilmore and McPhee will have their names etched on the magnificent shield.
Tournament secretary Chris Stewart thanked the Cunnington family for their continued support.
Phillip Cunnington responded on behalf of the family.
Club president Ray Hanson thanked the women for the delightful afternoon tea and manning the raffle ticket sales.
The greens staff of Kevin Humbert and Les Brereton were acknowledged for the effort in preparing the excellent greens.
A very successful day of bowls.
The third round of barefoot bowls was contested by 34 players on Tuesday evening.
The winning trio were Jeff Carnie, Ian Scurrah, Steve “Knockers” Nolan (s) on plus 17 shots.
Next in line was the team of Jacob Haines, Ian Haines, Dean Cook (s) +16 with Andy Harris, Sue Harris, Josh DiAngri (s) in third place on 15 shots.
The next round will be held on Thursday, February 18 at 7pm.
Names to be listed by 6.45pm.
During the week members competed in the 60 and Over competition at Moama plus the annual Elmore tournaments on Tuesday and Thursday.
Overall there was not much success, but two wins out of three games sounded the “norm”.
The previous Sunday, Denise Gilmore competed in the CVBD State Novice Singles held at Rochester.
Gilmore played brilliantly to qualify for the CVBD play-off against Louisa Dean (City of Echuca) to be held at the Moama Bowling Club this coming Sunday along-with all state disciplines starting at 9am.
This day will provide an excellent display from our CVBD bowlers.
In the club championship competitions, Dave Thomas was in fine form to defeat club champion Russell Shawcross in the first round of the Presidents trophy 21-up with a score of 21-16 while Tom Davis proved too experienced for Leon Laffy 21-15.
Bill Musgrove was too good for Steve Peter.
The club held the weekly barbeque and practice session on Friday evening.
The lucky members draw favoured Owen McPhee.
The club will hold the annual Twilight Mixed Fours on Tuesday, February 16 starting at 5pm.

60 and Over
The Campaspe Valley and District 60 and over bowls group held its Wednesday weekly bowls at Moama Bowls Club on February 3 on a warm and clear day.
In all 24 teams, that’s 96 players competed for a chook and the Len Vine Shield.
Five teams had won three games then rolled off to within the yard stick.
The Kyabram team of Les Grills, Mitch Steven, Neville Walters, and Greame Woodcock were the winners on the day with five bowls near the jack and were presented with the Len Vine shield by his daughter Joy Barnes.
A Rochester team had four bowls within the yard stick to come second.
They were Bert Smolenaars, Tim Quinlan, Graham Willis and Allan Benson.
Both teams members received a chook each.
We would like to thank Moama Bowls Club who have been great supporters of the 60 and over bowls.
Next Wednesday, February 10 60 and over bowls is at Valley View Bowls Club with a 10am start.
