Progress is being made on the $3.2 million upgrade to the Wilf Cox Pavillion at Kyabram Recreation Reserve, with internal works mostly complete and final fit outs under way.

Supported by a $1 million grant from the Victorian Government, the first stage of redevelopment focuses on upgrading change facilities and improving overall accessibility, to ensure it better meets the needs of all users.
Campaspe Shire Council director community and culture Jo Bradshaw confirmed the project remained aligned with its 13-month timeline following the start of works in August 2025.
“The Wilf Cox accessibility upgrade is progressing with most of the internal works complete and fit out being finalised,” Ms Bradshaw said.
“We are waiting for key items including fire services and the elevator delivery, however once these are complete, the project will conclude rapidly.”
The current timeline points toward completion in September, with the potential for the facility to open sooner.
“The project is still on track to be completed in this time frame, with the potential for an earlier completion if deliveries of key items occur,” Ms Bradshaw said.
Once a completion date has been finalised, Campaspe Shire Council plans to hold a public event to celebrate the completion of works.
