Even into spring, Mr Pollock said below average rainfall totals were expected from August to October for most of Victoria and southern NSW.

“You could see a reduction in frosts, but don’t rule them out,” he said.

“Those are averages, not individual days, so you’re still likely to have mornings that get to freezing.”
