The fundraising car rally is expected to enter Deni via the Conargo Rd on May 23, about 2pm.
Members of the public will be able to view a 40 to 60 minute parade of the custom Bash cars as about 100 of them come down Davidson St, onto Charlotte and Hardinge Sts and then continue on to Echuca and, the following day, Bunnaloo.
The cars will not stop in Deni, and they will be refreshed from a pit stop in Conargo.
In the village they will visit the Conargo Public School, where some of the proceeds from the bash will be donated to improve the school’s playground.
It will specifically contribute to a new sand pit.
The Variety Bash is hosted by Variety, which for 47 years has been known as the ‘children’s charity’.
The main aim is to give disadvantaged kids a fair go.
The Bash is a celebration of the funds they raise every year.
Over the span of 10 months, a group of roughly 300 people raise funds for Variety through trivia nights and other fundraising activities.
As they travel across NSW, the Variety Bashers visit a number schools for a Woolworths sponsored breakfast and give the students of these schools a chance to have a good look at the creatively themed cars.
Some Bashers even take the opportunity to dress up for the kids as several different characters ranging for cartoons to superhero.
This is when the proceeds of fundraising are gifted to schools and groups.
The goal of the 2023 Bash is to raise $1 million.
This years NSW Variety Bash will kick off on May 21 in Dubbo and finish up on May 27 with a family fun day in Newscastle.
Along the way the Bash will visit Eugowra, Cowra, Greenethorpe, Stockinbingal, Leeton, Conargo, Echuca, Bunnaloo, Lowesdale, Narrandera, Murrumburrah, Goulburn, Tirranna, Thirlmere and St Marys.
