Rochester Community House is calling on community groups, sports clubs, schools (including kinder and playgroup) and local businesses to register.
Rochester’s Christmas tree exhibition runs from December 1 to December 19 at Rochester Shire Hall.
RCH manager Amanda Logie said opening hours had changed this year: the venue is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 11am.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
Local businesses, community groups and organisations are invited to enter a decorated tree representing themselves.
Ms Logie encouraged all groups to register early.
“You have to contact the Rochester Community House if you want to enter, but there is limited space, so if you want to enter, do it sooner rather than later,” Ms Logie said.

Entries close November 13.
Registration links will be sent out the week of October 23.
“It is not a competition, but one of the local businesses has actually donated some prizes, and so you can vote for your favourite tree or display,” Ms Logie said.
“We encourage all participants to think about what best represents them.”
Visitors can vote for their favourite tree, with the top three receiving a prize.
Last year, 37 trees were on display, representing church groups, sporting clubs, junior football, kinder and playgroup.
Ms Logie noted the Rochester Knitting and Crocheting Club was a perennial favourite.
“The crocheting group starts making their decorations in March, including the nativity set,” she said.
However, not everything from last year’s display has been accounted for.
“Sadly, we never found our sheep that got stolen last year,” Ms Logie said.
To register for the Rochester Christmas tree display, contact the Rochester Community House on 5484 3600 or email rochy@communityhouse.org.au.
Participants are encouraged to register early as there is limited space available.
