The music festival and friendship-focused extravaganza is an intercontinental affair, attracting big names to perform.
Among the lineup is New Zealand singer-songwriter Marlon Williams, Canadian duo Kacy & Clayton and group the Secret Beach, and US band Sylvie.
There is also plenty of Aussie talent, such as Melbourne’s Jess Ribeiro, Public Figures, Loose Lips and Wrong Way Up, Drifting Clouds from north-east Arnhem Land, Wollongong’s Chimers and Hedge Burners from the Mornington.
OK Motels creative director Kate Berry said the team was looking forward to returning to Rochy for a stacked Saturday.
“All the preparations are happening,” she said.
“When I briefed in the artist to design the poster for this event, I told her all the things that are happening, and she's like, ‘is this a four-day festival?’, and I’m like, ‘no, just one’.
“There is a lot happening.”
Among the activities attendees can lap up in the Rochester Hall of Friendship, formerly the shire hall, are a Devonshire tea, friendship marriage ceremonies, line dancing, friendship fortune-telling, speed friending and even flash tattoos from the Vic Market Tattoo team.
Down the road, businesses on Gillies St and Moore St are pairing up with local winemakers and distillers for Sip Shop.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service has partnered with OK Motels, providing first aid and receiving the fruits of fundraising efforts.
“RFDS reached out a couple of months ago wanting to see if there were ways that we could work together, seeing we have similar values in our love and care for our regional friends,” Ms Berry said.
“They will be actually providing first aid for the event, but ... we’re partnering also with Pendleton who do these incredible blankets, so we’ll be selling these blankets as a fundraiser.”
The action kicks off from 8am with the Rochester Town Market in the skate park, followed by Wayne (Park)’s Mural Walk at 10am, the Hall of Friendship from 10.30am and music from noon, starting at the rotunda.
Ms Berry said the lineup of activities had been shaped by the Rochy community, and she was thankful for the hard work of the locals.
“It’s been such a joy to work with everybody in town,” she said.
“I really feel like this event is a true collaboration between OK Motels and Rochester.
“Even borrowing a forklift from the ag shop ... Hannah (Taylor) from the business network, oh my god, she’s just a legend.
“It’s just such a perfect little town.”
