The Junior Sportsperson of the Year award forms part of the annual Australia Day awards, which celebrate the achievements and contributions of residents.
The award acknowledges Judd’s outstanding sporting achievements over the past year, including his debut for this season's Goulburn Murray Cricket A-grade team at just 14 years of age, making him the youngest player to debut for the Rochester Cricket Club.
Key highlights from Judd’s sporting year included his captaincy of the Rochester Cricket Club under-15 team and Southern Riverina Cricket Club under-16 team.
Judd also demonstrates a strong commitment to his training, currently completing pre-season with the Rochester Football Netball Club under-18 football team.
Last cricket season, Judd achieved the remarkable feat of winning all cricket awards available for both the Rochester Cricket Club under-15 team and B-grade teams.
