Let’s always tell the truth.

So why does God detest lying lips?

It seems like very strong language to use for something that people often do without much thought.

The reason God hates it so much is because, lying, is the exact opposite of everything that God stands for.

Above everything else God stands for truth. People who are honest and trustworthy reflect the character of God their Father.

God is a pillar of truth and he sent His son Jesus into the world to establish Truth on earth.

God promises in His word that every lie will be uncovered; the truth will be made known in the end.

If we want to live lives that are pleasing to God then we must resist the temptation to lie.

If we want God to delight in us, then let’s make it a patten in our lives to always tell the truth.
