Fatal crash in Mathoura

Police said he was the sole occupant of a car which collided with a tree about 6.50pm Wednesday, 20km from Deniliquin.

Traffic was closed in both directions until about 3.30am this morning, with diversions in place for north bound and south bound traffic.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash has commenced.
