Sussan Ley, Liberal Party
Sussan Ley has been the Federal Member for Farrer since 2001 and is driven by her love for the country and its people.
Ms Ley believes in standing up for rural and regional Australians and ensuring they are heard in national decisions and have access to the same opportunities as those in cities.
Her policies include lowering energy costs, improving healthcare access, investing in housing and infrastructure and supporting small businesses.
Glen Hyde, Australian Labor Party
Glen Hyde is a long-time Tocumwal resident with 40 years in public service, including leading the Belconnen Community Council.
Mr Hyde believes in practical, community-focused leadership that listens, delivers and ensures regional Australians have access to the same services and opportunities as those in the cities.
His policies include boosting healthcare access and training, supporting public education and strengthening regional air links.
Michelle Milthorpe, Independent
Michelle Milthorpe is an independent candidate who has spent her entire life in regional NSW, raising her family, teaching and running her small business.
Mrs Milthorpe believes that regional Australians deserve fair treatment, practical solutions and genuine representation from someone who understands the realities of country life.
Her policies focus on opposing water buybacks, improving rural healthcare, housing and job access, investing in infrastructure and ensuring fair federal funding for local councils and regional development.
Richard August Hendrie, The Greens
Richard August Hendrie is the Greens candidate for Farrer and a long-time Farrer resident, with more than 25 years of experience advocating for mental health, disability inclusion and community-focused policy.
Mr Hendrie believes that real change starts with lived experience, honest representation and policies that reflect the challenges of regional life.
His policies include major investment in public housing, support for water buybacks with community planning and expanding Medicare to cover dental and mental health care.
Emma Hicks, Pauline Hanson’s One Nation
Emma Hicks is a remedial therapist who was inspired to run after working with people from all walks of life and recognising the importance of being heard.
Mrs Hicks believes in real, grassroots representation by showing up, listening to communities and following through with meaningful action.
Her policies include protecting local water rights, increasing rural doctor numbers, supporting tradies and apprentices and cutting immigration to ease housing pressure.
Peter Sinclair, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers
Peter Sinclair currently lives in Holbrook, NSW and recently finished up a 17-year career with the Greater Hume Shire Council.
Mr Sinclair has been part of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party since its inception and is pursuing politics in hopes of creating positive change for the community.
His party’s policies include providing quality education, supporting forestry and the right to own firearms.

David O’Reilly is a bus driver in the Farrer region, a job that has allowed him to meet people from all walks of life.
Mr O’Reilly believes that home ownership can provide stability and security to Australians.

Rebecca Scriven, Family First
Rebecca Scriven was born and raised in the Adelaide Hills and is now living in rural NSW with her family, bringing experience from both education and parliamentary roles.
Mrs Scriven believes that Australia’s parliaments must return to their Judeo-Christian foundations to serve the people with integrity, and that families, especially in regional areas, deserve stronger representation.
Her policies focus on easing cost-of-living pressures, supporting farmers and regional businesses, and making family a central focus of public policy.
Tanya Hargraves, Trumpet of Patriots
Tanya Hargraves is a fifth-generation Australian with deep roots in the country and professional experience working with government sectors.
Mrs Hargraves believes in putting everyday Australians before political elites, advocating for national sovereignty, regional fairness and policies shaped by real-world experience rather than party agendas.
