All properties will soon receive a council survey in their letterbox as part of a service review, coinciding with the Victorian Government’s kerbside collection reforms.
“The Residential Kerbside Reform Survey is the largest waste-related community engagement campaign of its kind council has conducted,” council chief executive Geoff Rollinson said.
“All feedback received will assist with the planning of future services.”
Residents can have their say on the introduction of glass-only recycling bins and green waste bins, part of the government’s four-stream waste system proposed across the state.
Mr Rollinson said the council had not committed to introducing stand-alone glass recycling at this time.
“This survey [will] assist in investigating alternative options, such as drop-off sites, recovery partnerships and other non-kerbside options,” he said.
Residents who complete and return the survey by Thursday, March 26 will be in the running to win one of five $50 Mastercard pre-paid vouchers.
