The successful recipients were Karli Cox, Sarah Anderson, Danielle McLeod, Edna Kelly and Cara Delaney.
This is the second year the scholarship has been available. In 2025 Emmily Westbury was named the first recipient of the prestigious Scholarship.
The Diana Chomley Scholarship provides valuable funding to support further education and skill development.
It was Diana’s husband, Angus Howell, that established the scholarship fund in her name in 2024.
Ms Chomley was a well-known local nurse for many years, and a much-loved member of the Cooinda family.
This round, recipients will undertake study in important areas including palliative care, clinical care, older persons’ mental health and Certificate III in Individual Support.
These opportunities will strengthen both individual capability and the quality of care provided to older people in the community.
A Cooinda spokesperson said it congratulated all recipients on their achievements, and thanked scholarship donors for their ongoing support in fostering education, growth and excellence in care.
