He weighed 3.8kg and was 52cm long.
According to Ms Koetsveld, her baby boy is doing well.
“He is really good, he likes to feed all the time,” she said.
Little Jed is never alone, because along with his loving parents, he has an older sister, Mila, to keep him company.
“She (Mila) loves him,” Ms Koetsveld said.
“She likes to give him kisses and pats him on the back and calls him Baby.”
Unlike with her first child, Ms Koetsveld gave birth to Jed naturally, which allowed for quicker recovery time and meant that she and Jed only had to spend three days in hospital.
Ms Koetsveld couldn’t praise the Benalla Health staff enough.
“The staff were so amazing. The midwives at Benalla Health made us so welcomed and cared for. They treated us like part of their family, which was amazing,” she said.
Now back home, Ms Koetsveld admitted sleep had been significantly reduced for her and her husband.
However, despite the change in her life that comes with having a second child, Ms Koetsveld wouldn’t have it any other way.
“It’s an adjustment but it’s definitely worth it, it’s amazing,” she said.
The Benalla Ensign congratulates the Koetsveld family on their newest family addition and wish them the very best.
