Every Tuesday, a cohesive team of dedicated volunteers produce thousands of native plants to help green the Goulburn Valley and increase our precious biodiversity.
At the moment, sales are booming, as the public come in to purchase tube stock at very affordable prices.
We aim to keep costs down for the customer with the intention that they will help us green our Goulburn Valley.
It’s our way of making a contribution to our local neighbourhoods and rural properties.
Sales have been wonderful, and it’s the perfect time to get your plants in the ground now after this lovely rain.
We are starting to plan for next year’s sowing as we grow all our stock from seed that has been obtained from as close as we can get to home. The plants are raised in Tatura, so they will have a greater chance of survival.
If you are keen to get plants into the ground this season, you will need to see us soon, as some species have already sold out.
Open for sales Saturday and Tuesday mornings until 11.30am.

Tatura Football Netball Club
It has been a big few weekends at Tatura Football Netball Club, with a number of our loyal Bulldogs reaching significant game milestones.
The club could not be prouder of each and every one of them.
50 games
Four of our under-17 stars celebrated their 50th games recently, and fittingly they reached the milestone together, having started their Tatura journeys at the same time.
Marlie Turner, Heidi Moon, Heidi Smith and Tori Wellington have all grown into outstanding players across both the Under-17s and senior levels.
Marlie is a speedy midcourt talent with a tireless work ethic; Heidi Moon brings calm authority to GK and GD and is already a natural leader at such a young age; Heidi Smith is an energetic midcourt and defensive force who never stops competing; and Tori's versatility across goals and midcourt, always with a smile on her face, makes her a joy to watch.
The future is incredibly bright for all four of them.
Congratulations to Jasmine Boyland on reaching 50 GVL Netball games for Tatura.
A fiery B-grade defender and coach of our under-15s, Jas brings hard work and heart to everything she does for this club.
100 games
What a milestone for the incredible Roey Walls, who recently played her 100th game for Tatura FNC.
Roey is everything you want in a teammate. Skilful, selfless, and someone who lifts everyone around her.
She has shown tremendous leadership, captaining B-grade before stepping into the captaincy of B-reserve, where she continues to lead by example.
Loved by everyone at the club, congratulations Roey.
Congratulations to Nonie Shipston, who also recently clocked up her 100th game for Tatura FNC.
Nonie’s journey at the club began when she joined us in the under-17s, and she has never looked back, growing into a reliable and rock-solid defender in our B-reserve side.
Consistent, committed and a player her teammates can always count on, Nonie is exactly the kind of person who makes this club what it is.
In football, congratulations to Daniel Maher on playing his 100th reserves game for TFNC.
Known around the club as Marzey, Daniel is not only a strong and reliable presence on the field, but a dedicated reserves coach who is always the first to put his hand up to help out.
He is a true Bulldogs clubman and the playing group is lucky to have him. Congratulations Marzey.
200 games
What an achievement. We recently celebrated Rachel Thomson reaching an extraordinary milestone with her 200th game for Tatura FNC.
Rach joined the club back in 2015 and hasn't missed a year since, a testament to her passion and dedication to this club.
On the court, she’s a speedy, hardworking mid-courter who gives everything every single week.
Off the court, Rach has served on the board and taken on roles that show just what a true club person she is.
We are so lucky to have you, Rach. Here’s to 200 more.

Tatura Lions Club
Over 50 years ago, Tatura Lions was charted by Rochester Lions Club. Since then, we have been actively engaged in service throughout Tatura area and beyond.
We provide various community activities such as Australia Day Breakfast, assist with Tatura Pedals & Steps, support RU OK day and host Bunning’s barbecues.
These have all been appreciated by the community and are good fun for those involved.
We have long supported community and local schools with Carols by Candlelight, barbecues at schools and clearing sales, provide yearly scholarships for both schools, annually sponsor opportunities for students at Licola Camp and provide junior public speaking competitions.
Fundraisers include selling Christmas cakes and puddings, plus fresh Christmas trees.
We also collect for the Good Friday appeal and provide raffles for Easter and Mother’s Day. All funds raised stay in the community.
We support local emergency services by providing Lions Care Bears and run the Skin Cancer Screening bus.
Our last Skin Cancer Screening discovered over 45 cases that needed to be followed up by specialists and caught just in time.
Guest speakers include fire safety personnel who feature regularly.

Tatura Library
Did you know that the “shhhhh” factor has been removed from libraries?
Kindergarten visits, author talks, school holiday activities and craft and coffee sessions all form part of the many community uses of our library space.
We welcome you to the library to meet with friends in a warm and welcoming space. Working from home?
Come to the library instead: we have printing and scanning facilities, and you can use our free wi-fi.
Of course, there are quieter times at the library when you can sit to read a magazine, study, or just sit and soak up the ambience.
Tatura Library also has a meeting room available for community use during staffed hours.
Open Library will provide you with access to the library between 8am and 8pm every day.
Ask our staff how you become an Open Library member and you can use the library at a time convenient for you.
The best thing about the library is that membership is free, and you can use your membership card at any of our Goulburn Valley Libraries.
Taking a day trip to Cobram or Yarrawonga? Drop into the local library, borrow a book or two, and return them to Tatura.
You can reserve a time to get tech assistance with our regular monthly Tech 1-on-1 sessions.
Held on the third Thursday of each month, and conducted by Tom, these sessions will give you the skills to manage your devices.
Kerrie can also get you connected to any of our online resources, so don’t pay for eBooks. Join the library and get a wide range of eBooks, eAudios and eMagazines — all for free.
